If you haven't see it, you should.

I meant to blog about this when it came out, but been a  little busy. My mom got me the DVD for my birthday and a yellow scarf to wear when I watch it :)

If you have not seen it, you need to. It is a beautifully done movie and will stir your heart. It is not all depressing-so don't let that be the reason you are not going to see it.

A few years ago at a World Mandate (Antioch Community Church) a guy spoke about India. He told such amazing stories of how God was moving there. It made me want to go. This was before I went to Africa the 1st time-so like in 2005ish. Anyways, after I went to Africa I was so focused on Mozambique that I forgot about wanting to go to India.

But that tug on my heart to see India returned when I saw this movie. It made me want to go there NOW! One of the little boys in the movie reminded me of a little Indian boy in my class in Mozambique. Punit-He was adorable but all boy.

I was able to hear a missionary from India speak in my hometown church in February. I met her and ate at IHOP with her. She is Indian and married an American. They have older kids and moved to India over a year ago to be missionaries. She said that this movie depicts her life growing up in the slums.  She has even worse stories than seen in this movie. I can't imagine.

She hopes to start a school for the orphans there in the future. She told me I could come teach there when it was ready-but i'd have to stay at least 2 years. I have not even stepped foot in India-so 1st things 1st. I hope to visit sooner than later. Then we can discuss living there!  Anyone wanna go? :)
