Teaching 2nd grade is going GREAT! We have a good time together. I cannot complain with just 6 kids! (Chidera has the mumps, so she is out all week & missed the picture!) We have our Christmas program in 2 weeks and my kids are doing an "ABC Christmas Poem". They each have about 4-5 memory verses that tells about the Christmas story. They are doing so well! We are trying to get some costumes together for our big debut, we'll see how that goes! We have been learning about insects in science. They have brought some BIG bugs to class! yuck! The students have grown so much in the short time that I have been here. I see some improvement in their reading. I have a couple kids who struggle so I am trying to get them ready for 3rd grade! Overall the past 3 months have gone by quickly. I look forward to the Christmas break as do the students! We will end this semester with a class party!
I LOVE the silly faces!!!! You've made me proud:) Ok can I start calling you "Abif?" get it? Africa BFF? Also, your comment got me really excited about the possiblity and if you are back, we will for sure take the bus to JBurg- I'm doing that in less than 2 weeks! Whoo hoo! But so yeah, we can for sure do it for spring break! And I have some really exciting news...drum roll please...if you do come back, Madalena is going to South AFrica for a month so you can stay here for a month!!! She doesn't know the dates yet but sometime in January and/or February. Then we could be abifs AND roommates!!! I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high:) Ok, see you tomorrow for our shopping extravaganza- poor Heldio- I hope he doesn't think we're using him:)
