Mozambique Musings: CAM vs IRIS

Last Monday CAM played the IRIS orphanage team in basketball! It was so exciting to have the kids from the center play at our school! My friend Katie coaches both the girls & boys teams at CAM. She played basketball at Westmont in California so she knows her stuff! The younger boys from IRIS played the girls team and then the older ones played our guys team. IRIS won both games, but CAM competed well. Katie has her work cut out for her, but this was their 2nd game this year & they are doing great. She works really hard with them & I can see improvement already! One of the boys I know from the center played against the girls team. His name is Morgan! :) We got to know him when the Beltway team was here in July! He hung out with us last Saturday when we all went to the market in town. He was so excited to have someone cheering for him. He told Katie that he wanted us to come watch his next game at another school. So cute....I know I work for CAM, but I was secretly cheering for IRIS :) It was tough b/c I love Katie & want her to win, but I love those orphans! I think she was ok with IRIS winning though...
