9 year old Thabo
Iris missionary with Thabo
Thabo needs your prayers please. Below is a prayer request from the directors of the IRIS orphanage (Zimpeto) where Thabo is currently living.
"Meet 9 year old Thabo, a little boy with a will to live and a great big God. Thabo came to us early this year from very sad circumstances. Both his mother and grandmother have died and he had been living with his extended
family. He was not treated well by this family and has not had medical treatment or help for many years. His family, although not poor, made him sleep on the verandah of the house and whilst the children in the family grew, Thabo suffered and was severly malnourished. He came to us in a very sad state and was hospitalized within 2 months of being with us. He has been in hospital for the last 4 months (with little to no improvement) until this week. He was released to be cared for back in our centre, and we have accepted responsibility to give him our best. He is 9 years old and weighs around 20 pounds. He has Aids and tuberculosis. We are asking that you join a 24 hour prayer watch for the next 2 weeks as we believe God for a miracle for Thabo.
Please pray specifically:
God fills his spirit with love, life, peace and joy,
That he tolerate a normal diet,
That his recurring diarrhoea ceases,
That his pressure sores heal quickly,
That his TB responds to treatment,
That he has divine encounters with God as he is surrounded by your prayers.
Thank you for joining with us we hope to keep you updated with his journey."
Blessings Ros and Steve
